Botox Treatments

FDA-approved Botox temporarily improves the appearance of both moderate to severe frown lines and wrinkles between the brows, crow’s feet, nose, and forehead.

How Patients Are Treating Facial Wrinkles with Botox

Botox Cosmetic and other botulinum neurotoxins are botulinum toxin injections (botulinum toxin type A) that are injected into facial muscles and temporarily improve the look of facial wrinkles and smooth the skin. We administer small injections directly into the area you’d like to improve and work with your desires to ensure we achieve significant results while still looking natural. Beyond cosmetic purposes, Botox injections can also be used to help with certain medical conditions like chronic migraine, overactive bladder, urinary incontinence, excessive sweating, and cervical dystonia.

Frequently Asked Questions about Botox

Is Botox FDA-approved, and is it safe?

Yes, Botox is FDA-approved for temporarily improving the appearance of moderate to severe frown lines, crow's feet, forehead wrinkles, and lines between the brows. It has a long, well-established safety record and is one of the most commonly performed cosmetic treatments in the world.

How does Botox work?

Botox is a purified protein that is injected directly into the facial muscles responsible for causing wrinkles. It temporarily relaxes those muscles, smoothing the skin above them and reducing the appearance of lines and wrinkles.

How is Botox different from dermal fillers?

Botox relaxes the muscles that cause dynamic wrinkles, like frown lines and crow's feet, while dermal fillers add volume to areas that have lost fullness over time, such as the cheeks, lips, and deep folds. Depending on your concerns, one or both may be recommended.

Can I wear makeup to my appointment?

You're welcome to arrive with makeup on, though we'll cleanse the treatment area before your injections. We do recommend avoiding makeup immediately after your appointment to reduce the risk of irritation or infection at the injection sites.

Is Botox painful?

Discomfort is minimal and brief. The needles used are very fine, and most patients tolerate the treatment well. If you have concerns about sensitivity, we can apply an ice pack or topical anesthetic cream to the area beforehand to keep you comfortable.

How long will my Botox appointment take?

Botox appointments are quick and convenient, most treatments are completed in 15 to 30 minutes, making it easy to fit into a lunch break or busy schedule.

Will my results look natural?

Absolutely. Our goal is always to help you look refreshed and like the best version of yourself, not overdone. We take a personalized approach with every patient, working with your facial anatomy and aesthetic goals to achieve subtle, natural-looking results.

How long do Botox results last?

Results typically last up to four months, though this can vary depending on your activity level, the amount of product used, and how your body responds to the treatment. With regular maintenance appointments, many patients find their results become more consistent over time.

Can Botox be used for anything beyond cosmetic purposes?

es! Beyond treating facial wrinkles, Botox has several medical applications including relief from chronic migraines, excessive sweating, overactive bladder, urinary incontinence, and cervical dystonia. If you have a medical concern you'd like to discuss, we're happy to talk through your options.

Can I get Botox if I'm pregnant or breastfeeding?

We do not recommend Botox for patients who are pregnant or breastfeeding. While there is limited research on the topic, out of an abundance of caution we advise waiting until after pregnancy and breastfeeding have concluded before resuming or beginning treatment.

When will I see my Botox results?

While the purified protein begins working on your muscles right away, most patients start noticing visible improvement within 4 days of their treatment, with full results typically apparent within two weeks.
